Our Mission
The Orchard Park Garden Club is dedicated to promoting mutual helpfulness among its members in the study of practical gardening and floral design, while giving back to the community we love.
Educate
We host workshops and expert speakers on practical gardening, floral design, and environmental stewardship.
Beautify
We enhance our community through civic planting projects, village planters, hanging baskets, and the garden at the Four Corners.
Conserve
We protect our local environment with a special focus on native trees, plants, wildlife, and environmental awareness.
Invest
We award college scholarships to local students who share our passion for the environment, and DEC Camp Scholarships to send children to New York State Department of Environmental Conservation summer camps.
Grow With Our Community
The Orchard Park Garden Club is a home for anyone with a passion for nature, from master gardeners with decades of experience to beginners nurturing their first houseplant. We welcome neighbors who want to connect through a shared love of horticulture and care about the beauty of our region.
Membership opens the door to monthly programs with expert speakers, hands-on community projects, and deeply rewarding service opportunities. Members design the Village planters and hanging baskets, contribute to the Four Corners intersection garden, and take pride in the Library Pollinator Garden and Literary Garden, both OPGC projects. Members also create festive holiday displays for the Orchard Park Public Library, the Train Depot, and Jolls House, and bring crafts to residents in local nursing homes through our Garden Therapy program, a beloved tradition for more than 20 years.
Fifty Years of Growth
The Orchard Park Garden Club was established in February 1976 and became federated in June 1977, expanding our connection to the broader gardening community. Today, with 86 members strong, we continue to grow in purpose and impact. We are proudly affiliated with the following organizations:
